“Street porcelain: Swedish landscape”

Today everybody in Sweden gets their porcelain from Gustavsberg, Rörstrand or IKEA. There are endlessly modern variants to choose from. But the question I’ve asked myself is; what happened to all the really beautiful porcelain that was so frequently used before? Have we stopped using them because they are boring and unfashionable?

The basic thought behind my project is to reproduce the old tableware without losing the old, soft and beautiful shape that it used to have. “Old time but put forward”. With the new improvements and with modern illustrations the tableware “Street porcelain: Swedish landscape” will be an exciting element in the modern kitchen.
